I recently ordered a book written by an old Friend of mine, Berris “Bear” Samples, “30 Days to Better Flycasting.” It arrived yesterday from a bookstore in Toledo, Ohio.
Inside the book at page 23, I found this picture. Maybe someone was using it as a bookmarker. I hope they read past page 23. On the back of the picture is a poem, “Preparing Her Son” by Marsha Newman. I wish I knew the story of how this picture got here.
If any of Y’all know J. Bell from Payson, Utah, their book has found its way to me. What an interesting story that must be. What are the odds of that? (1:193,682. I made that up.)
