Chess, Anyone?

I haven't played much in a long time. No matter, I'm still pretty bad at it.

I read recently about the benefits of chess for Military Veterans. There is positive evidence that chess can help veterans with PSTD and TBI. Other treatments may be enhanced or improved when patients study and play chess. Another possible benefit is protection against the development of dementia...I may be playing catch up with a few of these.

Hey, the picture? Yeah, one of the rules of chess and setting up the board, is that the board is oriented with a white square in the lower right-hand corner. That's pretty simple, eh? As shown in the picture, it's like playing the opposing player's position and swapping first move advantage.

I bought this recently in a local store in Burnsville. Distributed by Brybelly Holdings Inc. and manufactured in China. This one got past Quality Control.

The beauty of chess

Lies beyond science and art

In hearts of players.

Peace, Y'all!
